This page is under construction.  Quilts for sale will be added as they are available.

Custom quilt making is available.  Please contact Marge for more information. Have available the pattern you wish to use (photo of the pattern will do), color scheme, size you want the quilt to be.

Once I have that information, I can determine price for the construction of your custom quilt.
Should you opt to have me construct your quilt, I will be able to give you details on the amount of fabrics and notions needed.  There is an extra charge for me to shop the fabrics for you.

The following information gives the standard size for quilts/blankets. Should you wish a different size, please contact me for detailed costs.

Quilt Size (approximate)

Crib - 45 inches by 65 inches

Twin - 65 inches by 96 inches

Double/Full - 82 inches by 105 inches

Queen - 88 inches by 110 inches

King - 102 inches by 114 inches

In figuring the size of quilt needed, there may be a variance of one to several inches, depending on the block size desired.

It is almost impossible to determine the final cost of a full service quilt job. There are many elements to consider: Cost of fabrics, degree of difficulty in the chosen block pattern, borders or none, type of batting, thread choices, etc.

The basic cost for labor only will amount to approximately $105.00 for a crib size quilt.  This would be for a two color, 100% cotton quilt, poly batting, one color thread, and using a basic quilting design.  (see the sample Amish Diamond quilt sample below).

Custom quilt making is available.  Please contact Marge for more information. Have available the pattern you wish to use (photo of the pattern will do), color scheme, size you want the quilt to be.

Should you have any UFO quilt tops, I can finish those for you.  Ask me for more information!

The above quilt has 8 blocks & measures 24 x 48 inches finished.  I used black on the backing (Kona Cotton). This made a perfect table runner size. Do look at the beautiful patterns provided at no charge to you on the Quilter’s Cache web site. Browse and remember to check the finished blocks/quilts on the last page of each pattern. You can get some wonderful ideas by doing so. Marcia has so generously allowed us all to share in her pattern cache.

The sample quilt to the left is done in a blue tone-on-tone fabric with black accents. The design is called Amish Diamond, and the pattern can be seen at The Quilter’s Cache web site. NOTE: Click on the name of the block to go directly to that page on Quilter’s Cache.

To make the Amish Diamond, from the Quilter’s Cache, as shown (two colors) in a twin size, you will need the following:

5 yards of color 1 (colors 1 & 2 combined from pattern)
3 yards of color 2
5-1/2 yards of 45” wide backing fabric (or 2-3/4 yards of 90” or wider fabric)
1 Twin/full size quilt batting.
2 large spools of thread for piecing the top.
The above does NOT include the quilting thread.  I use Cotton/poly threads, and I have those on hand.  Basic cost for thread in quilting is included.  Extra color thread is extra.

Contact Marge to receive information on the cost involved in making a complete quilt in this or any pattern of your choice!  E-mail Marge

NOTE:  Should you decide to assemble this quilt yourself, feel free to e-mail me with any questions & I will be happy to help you at no charge.  You can also call me at 806-523-8061 during Texas business hours of 10 am to 6 pm (central time).

To the left and below show the detail of the quilting using blue cotton-sheen thread.

I used a blue jewel tone cotton thread and the design is what I call the “wave”. The wave is a basic design & can be done in the size shown (3 rows = 10”), up to one row per 10”.  I think this wave pattern matches the curves in the tone on tone fabric nicely.
