To the left is a top I made for my 2nd grand daughter, Miranda.  The dots are from her own stash.  I bought these for her to make pillows from, then snuck some into my suitcase before I left for home. 

It was supposed to be a simple nine-patch..but she saw another heart top I made for her cousin...had to have hearts also... this was the result on short notice (had to get mailed for holidays).

These three pictures show a recent customer quilt done in the “Stars & Loops” panto pattern. I adjusted the pattern size to fit the size of the quilt top (60” square).  The quilt is made of 100% Cotton fabrics, and has a Mountain Mist Poly batting in regular weight.  Thread used was size 40 cotton wrapped polyester in white, and the bobbin had “bottom thread” in it. Bottom Thread is a thin polyester thread with a nice sheen.  This was my first quilt using the bottom thread, and I love it!

Cost breakdown on this quilt:

60x60=3,600 sq in x .0115= $41.40 for basic panto quilting or meander.

Customer chose to bind herself, but had she chosen to have me bind the quilt the cost breakdown would have been:

60x4=240 linear inches x .07 = $16.80 to bind the quilt with either the backing fabric brought to the front, or with binding material provided by customer.

CUSTOM PHOTO QUILTS!

Makes a wonderful gift, or as a raffle prize at family reunions. 

The quilt shown to the left is a queen size quilt in a Log Cabin style. The blocks are of different sizes & placed at random on the quilt. There are 12 photos, four text squares on this piece. They were printed on unbleached muslin & the oval & other frames are part of the printed photos.  The muslin blocks could hold more photos if desired.

 You can request up to and including California King size quilts.  Most popular are the wall hanging size of between 45-60” square.   This queen size quilt measures approximately 80 x 100 inches.

Any quilt pattern with large enough solid pieces can be used to make a photo quilt.

Have a favorite team/group/theme?  Marge can assemble a special quilt using fabrics of your choice. (the Longhorn quilt to the left was commissioned by a customer who provided the fabrics for the quilt.  These “team” prints are copyright & licensed for personal use only).

I will assemble a quilt like the one shown to the left, in team colors of your choice.  Should you wish to use team fabrics, you must purchase and provide them. I can make them in any design (this is a Lonestar variation) of your choice.  Quilts are of 100% cotton & cotton/poly blends.

HAND QUILTING

Hand quilting services are available.  This quilt shown is a generous queen size quilt.  It’s hand quilted around all seams. This was a charity quilt, and a special rate was given to the makers.

Hand quilting takes time & is priced according to density & difficulty of the pattern requested.
